This is a beautiful guitar and these pictures hardly do it justice. The FYM96C is essentially the folk sized version of the awesome DYM96 with the addition of a cutaway and pickup system. Acoustically or amplified this guitar just sounds wonderful. It has great projection and responds very well to a multitude of playing styles from aggressive strumming to light finger picking. It's got a punchy midrange with plenty of snap and a very clear and detailed upper register. The bass is tight and focused and not boomy at all. Overall the guitar has a very warm and woody tone with a vintage quality to it. The FYM96C & DYM96 are very unique instruments and there are quite literarily no other guitars like them. The "distressed" top has a texture with ridges and gives the guitar a great rustic feel. This is offset by the nice but subtle tortoise binding and burled mahogany headstock overlay with abalone accents. This is a brand new Factory first guitar and ships with an Alvarez case and the Yairi limited lifetime warranty.
